Last weekend all three “mothrmövers” had the opportunity in some capacity to perform with the Twin Cities Symphony. I played oboe on Unanswered Question by Charles Ives and Violent, violent sea by Missy Mazzoli. Brittany danced during the entire 30 minute performance of Schoenberg’s Verklarte Nacht and Hannah played beautiful solo harp during the reception following the performance.
We enjoyed being a part of this new orchestra and it was a great opportunity for Hannah and I to watch Brittany and not have to worry about playing wrong notes or losing our place in our music!
I happen to be the COO of this new symphony, which is a fairly decent sized job. Putting the performance together will all of the various moving pieces was quite taxing, but the reward was the success of the performance. I couldn’t be happier that I had the opportunity to perform among many of my friends and colleagues and that mothrmöv could be such an import part of our big day!
